Basically, they release an update every month.
The software for windows XP would have each and every patch released after Service Pack 2 integrated into. The full version would also have .Net 1.1 and DX 9.0c and all driver/software updates rolled in.

This software really comes into its own when doing a fresh build, or when updating a machine that hasnt been updated often and is out of date.

The process is simple.

Install software > Choose patches > install > reboot.

Bingo, your PC is now up to date as far as the month of the release. This saves some serious time and bandwidth when you have a lot of machines to update.

I would recommend only installing the official updates, as there is some performance tweaks you can install. These are disabled by default.

As we all know or should know Microsoft shut down the older version of autoPatcher

It is still alive and alot smaller and more compact

You now download a small program to your PC, run it and it will download the necessary files for your computer FROM Microsoft (without any checks) once the download process is complete just run the AutoPatcher executable that was downloaded and Patch away
