yea i was a boob and always tried the first windows repair screen , the one that supposedly brings up the recovery console .. never worked ..
but this worked welll and was faster then reformatting and reinstalling all my stuff

I am very familiar with the process, don't know if I mentioned it to you LT.
It's always worked well for machines I work on, but for my own I give them the full douche.
