I think LT pointed me in the direction of Audacity, but I can't find the post. This thing's GREAT for editing even simple .wav files! GREAT, GREAT tool!

I use Audacity for basic editing in connection with audio interviewing. Adding mp3 support's a breeze, and the included filters are okay.
