DO NOT USE 1and1.com for ANY web hosting. Bastards sent me to collections because of an expired credit card. Note that the only notification I received was a single e-mail with the subject, "KC387598723=". I didn't actually receive this message, Lycos dropped it because of the SPAM tag. There isn't an anti-spam software on the planet that wouldn't tag that subject as spam!

Regardless....this isn't a personal debacle...this goes waaaay beyond that. Service is cheap, support is lousy. Run run run!

Not that i want to argue.. I dont do that anymore (wait for it, wait for it) BUT,

I have used 1 and 1 for over a year, i have had no problems at all.

I started tracking my hits with phpmyvisites in June of 07 and had 24000 hits with 19000 unique visitors and 63400 page views including over 20000 downloads of Autopatcher related files from June 07 to December of 07, so lots of traffic without any major issues

I may be wrong but i thought that Andrax sold out of hosting to another company/guy as i did have him but got an e-mail saying i was being transferred to a new company (though it may still have been his i didnt think it was so i left)

Thanks Q, I was mad when I posted. When the service works, it's fine. Just be on top of your credit card or whatever you're using for billing. They are merciless to an extreme and as I stated, give you only one chance to redeem yourself (nice of them).
