Older computer, worked fine yesterday. Turned it on today, long beep then nothing. No post. 2 banks kingston hyperX512 and 2 1GB. Tried each in the first dimm slot and nothing changed. Tried a differnent vid card, and nothing changed.
Reset the CMOS and still nothing.
Any ideas?

This is the thing. I have not changed anything in this system at all. I turned it off last night with a standard shutdown and powered it up up the same way. No changes in anything what so ever. Just started beeping.

Old people kinda make the same sounds when they don't want live anymore as well. Doesn't matter what memory you give them, they'll reject it. And system dumps? That's a nurse's job!
After tugging, in tears, at the goat for what seemed to be forever, he finally got it to abandon his plans to be Alpha Goat of the children's section. The goat, probably now feeling slightly emasculated by a crying ten year old, decided to leave tons (tons.) of cute little pellets all over the floor. He must have been part shotgun, as the spread was amazing.
