My father just got a brand new Dell Inspiron for his business, its loaded with Vista SP1. Its on the same network as his other computer, which has XP Pro, but the difference in web-browsing is unbelievable. The XP Machine will load a page a good 1-2 seconds before the Vista one, and the Vista machine won't stream video online.
The Browser doesn't matter, it hobbles along in IE or Firefox. Any thoughts?

How much memory? Vista requires at least 2 GB. We charge a $40 optimization for Vista at geek squad. There are reasons. The OS needs to be tweaked, big time.

I think it has to do with the linksys router that we have. I'm going to try to hardline in and see if that helps.

Thats the issue. I have to hard-wire in or get a new router, methinks.

you work for geeksquad now ? sheesh you guys charge about 3 times what i do for shit !
