Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for some free software to convert documents to PDF. At the not for profit centre I work at, we're forced to work with office 2000, and we use microsoft publisher to create our newsletters to members (and by we I mean me.)
I am the only one here with any aptitude for the computer at all, so I need something so easy I could do it drunk, stoned, blind, with the computer turned off.. Not literally of course but easy enough grandma mary who's never seen a computer before could do it.
I know we could buy acrobat, but we don't have the funds for it.
I've seen the online converters but I don't know which to trust, or the 'give us your credit card number to get your free conversion'

I dont know for sure. I bought Studio 8 as a students package for $89 and it works like doPDF in the printers option. I love it, if I want anything, like an online invoice or anything to pdf, I just print it and it comes up as an option in the printers drop down.
doPDF sounds like it works the same and it looks free to me, although I have not tried it.
Good luck.

I second CutePDF. All my clients use it, love it. Be aware that if it bombs, though, it's a bit of a trick to uninstall/reinstall. Don't be deterred...I've not seen it crash in about a year. Heck, I use it daily!
HOWEVER...do check out http://www.techsoup.org/
It's specifically for nonprofits. I've passed this on to every non-profit I encounter, and they love it! LOTS of free or severely discounted software/hardware (including Cisco switches, routers!).
