looking for Clarafication Shuttle Spacewalker AK32A mainboard

We just upgraded Cheers comp a little Vid Card PSU and Ram to 2gb Ram a new X1650 card and a new 400w PSU now what i want to do is move the CPU from a 1.47(1.5 i think) to a 2200+ (1.8)
can that mother board handle that Hell i think you had this board maybe a few others...

anyway i couldnt get a defined answer out of any tech specs

looks like it'll work bud!

and you could go as high as a 2600+

but ya might have to update your bios :blink:

dunno ..it doesn't show any updated bios files that i can tell .. but the page is in German i think ...

but at least ya got your answer and a page with the specs

you can get the top cpu for that board ..

HERE for $75..and only $8 more for the fan /heatsink too

also that shuttle mainboard is running that vid card most likely @agp 4X

just order this ..

swap your parts over and yes you will need an operating system to install ...and move up to a p4 2.8 for $109

that HP takes up to 4 gig of faster ram then ya have ...in dual channel memory mode

+ supports AGP 8X with an intel 865 chipset ..plus i bet the cd rom is faster then whatever ya have in that old shuttle

yeah, we're just trying to get her comp to run a few games like L4D for now

I have a 1500$ system on Newegg SLI 260's i think or maybe 285's EVGA i think.

but nothing is getting bought right now till The situation is better off

D'no why I missed this, but do check what kinda vid card you can actually install & is supported in that Shuttle. I only mention this 'cos the of the ShuttleX box I was given has ridiculously limited GPU support (but since I'm not using it for games I'm not worried...just wanted to beef it up a bit if possible).
