We have a portable DVD player. Durabrand, DPX3290L.
It seems that the rechargeable battery isn't holding a charge. BUT, it needs to pass through the battery to even run the DVD player.
I would like to bypass that somehow. Is it possible? What would you need to figure something like this out?

Might it also be possible to get a new battery for it? As long as the voltage is correct and the amperage is high enough...could be safer than bypassing it.

feh... we are getting another one for our daughter for Christmas. So, I just wanted to salvage this one if I could. No biggie really. And I couldn't find one the other day, so just wanted to tinker around with it.
