OK
First off I have three domains, two at enom and one at register.com.
I had a hosting company which as of yesterday closed down their business. I moved everything I needed over to my new hosting last month. I changed all DNS settings at my domain registrars and have triple checked and they are all correct.
Problem:
My two domains at Enom work and resolve just fine. I have one business on that one which works fine. Its a cookie and treat site, so if your are hungry, go here. The second one is just a name really and this one is the one I registered at my new hosting site, so its the mother of the other two domain names which I actually use. The third domain, which I use for pretty much everything is still resolving to the old hosting. I have all my main emails through this and I would really like to get my mail today.
I have everything set up as far as emails and a quick web page just so I don't get a blank screen. All emails sent to mark.gardner@world-wizardry.com get kicked back as undeliverable.
I don't expect anyone to fix my problem for me, I am just wondering, what have I missed? My old hosting ended service (supposedly) yesterday and my email is down, but my web page is up. I know my web page is still on the old section because a link that works is a link I had up still on the old host but should error out on my new host as I haven't uploaded all the files.
UGH!!
I've emailed my old hosting company, but is there something I should tell them or something I can do to force everything to resolve to my new hosting??
Help me Obi wan, you're my only hope!

They say it typically takes some time for DNS changes to propagate so that they properly resolve, but in my experience that occurs within hours, if not minutes.
The first few things to try would be to ensure the problem isn't on your end - flush your DNS cache, try with a different browser, or use someone else's computer.
The domain registration should point to the name servers at your host, and the host's name servers need to have the proper records. (Rules? Something like that.)
Depending on your level of control over your hosting and domains, you should have access to all of those settings.
I'd be happy to chat with you and see if we can't nail down the problem. PM me if you want.

It was that whole flushdns thingy.
I didn't know about that command.
When I spoke to my registrar they could ping all the rith IP address' so it was just me from my home.
The only weird thing was the wife couldn't send me an email from her work and I couldn't through Yahoo either.
It's all good now though. Thanks Rev

Yes, she got a bounced back email. Then she sent that to my yahoo email. I noticed from that, that the IP was the old hosing service.
Yes it works now.
I just thought it was really weird that she got a bounce back and my Yahoo got a bounce back. I wouldn't have thought it would affect that much down the inter-tube.

It was either her DNS cache hadn't been flushed (and that entry hadn't expired) since the last time she'd sent you an e-mail or accessed the domain, or the change hadn't propagated to the DNS her ISP was using.
Either way, good to see everything's working.
