i just got my new rig together and working

specs

amd athlon xp 2100+
asus a7n8x nforce2 mobo
asus v9280 8x agp geforce4 ti4200 128mb vid card
512 mb pc 2700 ddr

the rig seems to run great but i actually losy 15 fps going from the hercules 3d prophet vid card WTF with a jump like that in cards i should do better id think

i was getting 75 fps when plain cs now im gettin 60 whats that crap

i wsa given the heads up that it may be my older monitor...slower refresh rates or something to that effect anyone know anything have any ideas

Also, you say you updated the drivers. Did you go back into display properties and check your advanced settings? Often you must turn off vsync again after new drivers.

Sometimes I see my fps max at 60 even tho the limit is set to 99. I think that there's a fps cap for this game or something because my computer will go over 60 but just won't. I check my fps_max and it says 99. Dunno what to say.
