Ok, I've got a P3 at 733mhz on a via694x chipset(i don't know who makes the mobo),448mb of ram, and integrated nvidia vanta video with 16mb. When I try to install my GF4 mx440, my system hangs on boot, I don't get any beeps, all that turns on is my exaust and processor fans. I have a 185w power supply and tech support said I need at least a 300w which I'm getting soon, but what I don't understand is any pci video card works fine. My other question is about overclocking. When I enter the BIOS, the option to change the frequency is locked. My computer is originally from HP and I don't know if they did anything to keep me from changing it, or if I have to play with options to unlock it or some crap. That's all, any help would be appreciated.

i doubt you can unlock the hp bios to OC, but some here with more experience with that mobo may be able to tell you more.

as to the gf4, install it, make sure you have disabled the onboard graphics in the bios, then your machine should detect the new card, choose a default vga driver or let it choose one, then once you get that done, install either the drivers that came with the card or i would recommend getting the latest nvidia reference detonator drivers from nvidia.com

if you are asking about OCing the vidcard, i dont think those mx's OC well, but theres is a registry hack called 'coolbits' that you can get here

http://www.guru3d.com/files/

it will unlock the OC control panel in the nvidia drivers.

its also always good to make sure you have done a windows update beforehand

Nevermind. I see you're getting another psu.

Yes, more than likely the cheesy ps is not enough to run a agp video card.
